Alice Cooper

Alice Cooper (pravim imenom Vincent Damon Furnier), (Detroit, Michigan, 4. veljače 1948.) je američki rock glazbenik.Glazbenu karijeru započeo je sredinom šezdesetih na vrlo neobičan način - osnovao je grupu Earwigs koja je ismijavala Beatlese i njihove frenetične fanove. Nedugo kasnije, Earwigs su prerasli okvire parodije i postali pravi sastav, sa svojim pjesmama. Nekoliko puta mijenjali su ime, da bi 1968. postali Alice Cooper, nazvani prema "vještici" koja je živa spaljena u vrijeme inkvizicije. Vincent Furnier tada je odlučio promijeniti ime i osobno postati Alice Cooper. Iako o razlozima za odabir tog imena postoji nekoliko priča, sam Cooper najčešće je odabir obrazlagao ovako - "Alice Cooper je tako sveameričko ime. Nickleback

Nickelback is a Canadian rock band formed in Hanna, Alberta by Chad Kroeger, Mike Kroeger, Ryan Peake and then-drummer Brandon Kroeger (the current drummer of Nickelback being Daniel Adair).

The band is now based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Its name originates from the nickel in change that band member Mike Kroeger

gave customers at his Starbucks job—he would frequently say, "Here's your nickel back".

The band is signed to EMI at home and Roadrunner Records for the rest of the world. In July 2008, the band signed with Live Nation for three touring and album cycles, with an option for a fourth cycle. The contract includes recordings, touring, merchandise and other rights.

System Of A Down

System Of A Down je kalifornijski glazbeni sastav, osnovan 1994 , u čijem sastavu sviraju četvorica glazbenika armenskog podrijetla. Njihov glazbeni izričaj obuhvaća metal, nu metal, hardcore metal, te armensku narodnu glazbu. Ime System of a Down nastalo je nakon što je gitarist Daron Malakian, napisao pjesmu "Victims of A Down".

System Of A Down je poznat po izražavanju svojih političkih stavova, kritiziraju američke imperijalne politike te utjecaja medija na moderno društvo. Jedan od motiva u njihovim pjesmama je i armenski genocid.

Metallica

Metallica je iznimno uspješan američki thrash metal sastav, aktivan od ranih 1980-ih.

Nakon sticanja vjernih slijedbenika tijekom svoje uloge u razvoju Thrash metala u osamdesetima, sastav je uspješno proširio publiku u 1990-ima, stičući pritom brojne nove obožavatelje. U skladu s tim, sastav je postao komercijalno najizloženiji primjer metala tijekom većine tog desetljeća. Međutim, ogromni porast u njihovom komercijalnom uspijehu je bio popraćen stilskim promjenama koje su neke njihove dugotrajne obožavatelje potakle na optužbe o komercijalizaciji.

U 2003. Metallica je izdala St. Anger, zbirku najagresivnije glazbe koju su napisali tijekom desetljeća, o kojoj mišljenja i kritike jako variraju, dok je komercijalni uspjeh vrlo ograničen.

Bullet for My Valentine

Bullet for My Valentine are a Welsh melodic metalcore^[1][2] band from Bridgend, Wales, formed in 1998. The band started their music career by covering songs by Metallica and Nirvana under the band name "Jeff Killed John". Jeff Killed John recorded six songs which were not released. Two of these songs were later re-made for their debut album as Bullet for My Valentine. The song title "Eye Spy" was changed to "Hit the Floor" and "Nation to Nation" was changed to "Turn to Despair". There were lyric changes and changes in tempo, guitar, drums, bass, and overall sound for the songs as well. Financial difficulties marked a change in music direction and name for the band and so the band went through numerous name changes, until deciding on "Bullet for My Valentine".^[3] In 2002 the band was offered a record deal by Roadrunner Records. That offer was not taken, and the band later secured a five-album deal with Sony BMG.^[4]

Bullet for My Valentine's debut album The Poison was released on October 3, 2005 in the United Kingdom and on Valentine's Day in America in 2006 to represent their band name "Bullet for My Valentine", the album was dedicated to long time friend Liam Roy Denning, and entered the Billboard 200 at number 128, and the Top Heatseekers chart at number 1, and has sold over 500,000 copies in the U.S. The band made appearances at the Download Festival, Kerrang! XXV, and a United States tour with Rob Zombie, which the band were ultimately kicked off due to vocalist Matthew Tuck's comments on the band's message board. Bullet for My Valentine's second studio album Scream Aim Fire debuted at number 4 on the Billboard 200, with first week sales of 53,000 copies.
